e-mail is trickier than real conversation.  Some social patterns perhaps
don't translate at all as they should...

But really... is that really "best"?   Doesn't it keep people in this
trapped social bubble of constraint that prevents any real depth or real
connection because it maintains a defensive clinging to "proper" responses?
