[John] ... Krimel... well I think Krimel's a damn fine writer and thinker. I think he's got the rhetorical flourish, the poetic point and the romantic appeal down to near-perfection. I think he needs to get a little deeper into his assumptions. I think he needs more intellect, not less.
[Krimel] Thanks John but I've trying to kill brain cells to understand Platt better. I suspect if I kill enough of them I will start to get dmb, too. But then I might have to be fed through a tube in my arm, as well. I think it is interesting in the new Ant video that it is pretty well established Pirsig was not saying nice things about the romantics in ZMM. The whole deal about emotions, which is what I think the whole romantic thing is about, is that they ARE what drives rationality. Rationality is damn near powerless against them. The problem is the romantics only want to talk about the nice emotions. Emotions are a more primitive part of our psyche and make no mistake they are in charge. The whole idea that they have been neglected somehow is just crazy talk. They like being neglected because it means we are not paying attention to them and they can run wild.
