[Platt] "Self-evident" points to a preconscious assumption, thus invisible. It's an assumption accepted without thought, without question. For example, it is self-evident to science that an order exists in the universe to be discovered. Similarly, it is self-evident to Western thinking that the primary division of experience is subjects/objects, mind/matter, mental/physical, etc., i.e. SOM. that in Pirsig's static value hierarchy infuses the intellectual level. > > Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org/md/archives.html
