Oh you've switched from using "pretend" to "making an assumption"; isn't 
language fun?  I already addressed this in my previous post:  "There might be 
good reasons in science to pretend [make an assumption]?  Isn't that what David 
Morey is going on about?"

I see my punctuation was off in both posts where I reference this statement.  
There should not have been a question mark after the first sentence.  It should 
read:

"There might be good reasons in science to pretend [make an assumption].  Isn't 
that what David Morey is going on about?"
