I don't know who God favors. I presume that if She exists She favors every
individual human as one of Her "children" and wants the individual to be
free to live, love, and pursue happiness. I would also presume if that be
the case that God favors nations that help individuals achieve those goals.

Islam has great legitimacy based on its outstanding achievements in the past
that
somehow got off track in the modern era. Those more familiar with Islamic
history
than I can probably explain what happened. Today there are radical elements
in Islam who, for whatever reason, threaten Western civilization. Some blame
white imperialists for the rise of radical Islam. Others blame poverty and lack
of opportunity. Still others blame the rigid aspects of fundamentalist Islamic
religion. Whatever, those who threaten for whatever reason to eliminate others
and demonstrate a willingness and capacity to do so hold no legitimacy in my
book
and must themselves be eliminated. But for the majority of Islam who are
peaceful,
they have as much legitimacy has any other group. The only caveat I would
propose
is that when the emigrate to another country they should assimilate by adopting
the language, customs and values of the host country so as to avoid unnecessary
friction. But, I could be wrong.
