I understand your point,but that can be a slippery slope as our present
administration is finding out.

But for the majority of Islam who are peaceful, they have as much
legitimacy has any other group. The only caveat I would propose is that
when the emigrate to another country they should assimilate by adopting
the language, customs and values of the host country so as to avoid
unnecessary friction. But, I could be wrong.

I think it's more difficult for Muslims to assimilate customs and values
of others because their customs and values are
Intertwined with their religeon likewise for other cultures ie, Native
americans,
But, I do have a great joke concerning this, this is just having fun
with the topic mind you.
Two muslims emigrated together to the united states, on the way they
made a bet as to who would be more americanized
By the end of the year. They separate and at the end of the year they
meet up, the first muslim says that he is the most
Americanized, he describes his new SUV and big house his stereo
equipment and his beautiful American wife, "I believe
It is I who has won the bet" the other replies: "fuck-off, towel head"..
