You have not indicated the exact quote so I do not know the context 
to your "quality metaphysics".  So I can only suggest that there is a 
quality tree, there is a quality rock and there is a small, black, 
quality poodle (Bebe).

Bo, the MOQ wasn't even a twinkle in Pirsig's eye when ZMM was 
written.  I don't think this is a fair comparison or support for your 
argument.   But even in the diagram, Romantic Quality and Classic 
Quality are still both Quality.

Dualism isn't a swear-word, it's proved very useful, but it's an 
illusion.  There is only Quality.  I appreciate the Dynamic/Static 
split.  The levels are genius.  The MOQ a better worldview, by far, 
than the Subject/Object worldview.   I think that if the SOM is an 
enemy of the MOQ, it's because the SOM will want to divide the world, 
by habit, into subjects and objects.  Reality = Quality, a monism, is 
a truer, true.
