You are guaranteed your constitutional right to free speech whether you vote
or not. Voting is your moral sanction of the system. Further, voting in a
corrupt system does not change that system, it makes you part of the system.
It is immoral to participate in a corrupt system.

Ever step back and watch the circus the revolves around our "democratic"
system. If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny. The desperation of the
government to "get out the vote" is odd. Why do they care so much? Rock the
Vote! What the hell is that crap? Could it be that the government
understands your vote morally sanctions their actions? Bush - Blair, if you
voted, even against them, you are an accomplice in their actions. You are
part of the system that wrought them. You are them. Enjoy.

Participation never changed a system, participation makes the system
continue - why change things if people are still voting? It must be what the
people want, they are participating. Games stop when the players quit, they
never stop as long people continue to play.

Change happens when people stop going along with the game. Gandhi and M.L.
King are two examples.

But you keep voting, Matty - see where that takes you...oh, that's right
Bush and his stooge Blair. Do as your told and be a part of the system, a
corrupt one. And keep chanting to yourself - Can't complain if you don't
vote...I voted for the other guy...every vote counts.

If this is democracy and not voting makes it fail, please stop voting so we
can fix ourselves.

Open your eyes.

Micah

by not voting, the problem only becomes worse.

by not acting or participating, democracy fails.

what some call a failing democracy, i s the direct result of apathetic
behaviour.

those who vote, will therefor control the direction in which government
takes action.

it took many years of inaction to get to this point.

it will take many years of perserverance to establish a stronger democracy
with primary decisions in favour of the majority.

until that point, if the poor dont vote, if the discontent dont act, then
there is really nothing to complain about.

:(

baby steps.
