Poot,

Wow, you're in deep. Didn't you read what I wrote? You're urging me to give
moral sanction to a system that even you admit is corrupt, through
participation? I repeat; games end when the players quit. It's that simple.
I'm not calling for inaction, I'm calling for non-participation. They're
commonly called strikes in union circles. Are strikes a sign of apathy?
You're saying, if I don't agree with a system that I just need to become a
part of it? That makes absolutely no sense.

The Greens are a part of a corrupt system, and you are a Green. I know This
is an old cliche' but it applies here - think outside of the box.

Gandhi and King both used non-violent strikes effectively to cause change
and they are directly applicable here.

well,

what can I say...

As a voter for, and member of the Green Party, I think that there is
capacity for change. If your not happy with your two party system, why dont
you start running, or looking into endorsing a third party. get involved on
a community based level if you can.

I'll agree that a two party system is flawed when they are so similar, but a
nation whos people are unwilling to put any effort into changing what makes
them discontent is not just going to fix itself.

Instead, the gradual handover of power to neo-cons was made possible by a
disinterest in voting spawned by the comfortable life that we share here in
N.A (excluding Mexico). once basic rights were shared, and the hippies
converted into yuppies, the current administration was just working its way
up the chain.

the warning against the "industrial military complex" was never really
heeded by the general population, and shockingly, where is that industry
now??

ask yourself if inaction is the only way to oppose a very active opponent?

Gandhi was a very different case....hugely different. He was active. He
saw a system that needed changing, and stood up. Non-violence doesn't mean
inaction.

M.L King spent his life trying to get the poorer Black population out
voting, supporting their candidates, and making stronger communities. in a
peaceful way.

well, my girlfriend is calling me an unattentive ...... so I have to go now.
