Ha, DMB, I was in playful mood with Arlo's "bollocks" ... if you were following the thread.
However, obviously "wars have been fought" - past tense - I'm just pointing out they are old wars - we just don't need to keep fighting old wars - in fact the whole point is to learn not to make the same mistakes that led to old wars, the old meanings, the old understandings and the old implications of these words. We study history to learn from it, not to repeat or perpetuate it. "Monarchy has evolved" in all but a few nations on the globe to something of much more pragmatic quality. On the other hand some places "Presidency" is evolving denegerately ... ask a Zimbabwean, if Bush is too close to home. Presidency is a lot lower quality than monarchy in many (real world) situations. Upside of the Spanish Inquisition ? ... that's too easy ;-) The most obvious being, that it doesn't now exist - it evolved to extinction, hooray, etc.so that "no-one expects" is no longer only a joke.
