Of course people can believe things that have no evidence,
and they might be right and they might be wrong. Who are we
to say? I think there are cats on Mars, and I'm gonna look
well ahead of the game if they are ever discovered.

Your atheistic certainty puts you out of the liberal camp as
far as I see it and is a belief without evidence too is it not?

So how do we spot the cranks?

How do you feel about Jung's claim that he did not
believe in god, because he knew? Did he have an 
experience you and I have not?

Of course, there is much to be done with describing and making sense of the
evidence we can agree on. And this should take some priority. Does not
your un-reasoned/able atheism not bait and encourage the right wing
fundies? I say let them have their faith, and encourage them to go
to church as much as possible and keep em off the streets.
