WOW, Susan, what a remarkable post!! I'm excited for your kids! Do you recall which particular author, if any, talks about "word collectors?" I LOVE that! And I LOVE "wallow in the words." I believe that all learning starts with awareness (thank you, NAEYC) and your post just blows me away!
