The absolute worst part that I found with SFA is that because it's supposed to 
be successful for all, there's nothing in place for those that aren't 
successful.  That being said, my personal opinion is that it is very scripted 
and holds no appeal for students.  If students aren't reading or at least 
exposed to literature in some manner or another, trade books or even in an 
anthology I don't see where any motivation to learn to read will occur.

My district is giving thought to using Success for All.  I know very little 
about the program, except that J. Kozel thinks it's really awful for kids.  
Does anyone on here know about it, and have any advice on how I can begin to 
wrap my head around this?
