I am using Tim Rasinski' et. al' Building Vocabulary from Word Roots. It's excellent. It's a systematic approach to teaching vocabulary using Greek and Latin prefixes, bases and suffixes. I have seen my students figure out unknown words by connecting these word parts from known words. Here's a link with more information:
