This weekend has been active with pretty much what you would expect for this 
time of year.  A significant number of Fox Sparrow have moved into the area 
with the highest number at Rapids Lake MVNWR on Friday.   White-throated and 
Lincoln's Sparrow were the only other migrant sparrows over the weekend  There 
were 2 Winter Wrens at Rapids Lake on Friday and 1 at Carver Park this morning 
as well as a few House Wrens and a Marsh Wren at Chaska Lake.      A 
Bonaparte's Gull was at Chaska Lake yesterday with a couple of Ring-billed.    
Cormorant numbers have dropped, but Pelicans are still passing through as there 
was a flock of about 50 flying over Carver Park this morning.  Both 
Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets were fairly common over the past few 
days.  There was still a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and a Catbird hanging around at 
Carver Park.  Warblers over the past few days have been pretty much the same 
wherever I went: Orange-crowned, Yellow-rumped, Palm, and Common Yellowthroat.
