Birding around the county this weekend was fairly slow, and although birds are
returning bit by bit we still haven't seen a day that really felt like
migration.  Of note on Leech Lake on Sunday was a late (very late?) Snow Goose
flying low near Pelican Island, and at least 40 Red-necked Grebes, many of them
displaying and vocalizing, in Boy Bay near the mouth of the Boy River.  Good
birding!
