Beautiful day for birding around the north eastern third of Cass County - Highlights:
Northern Hawk Owl - (2) - Both within .5 mile of the intersection of County 73 and 12th Ave NE. Northern Shrike - Also on County 73 near intersection with County 8 - slow year for this species? Gray Jay - (7) Most I have seen in Cass in one day. Three pairs and a single bird observed at various sites with appropriate habitat.
