Obviously, based upon the number of people who have discussed the red
star issue in this newsgroup, many people are bothered by it. I have no
conneciton with the Mozilla project, except as a user. Hopefully,
without implying any political agenda (which I don't believe exists in
this case), the powers at Mozilla will ultimately respect this
sensitivity and change the icons, once they are able. in the interim,
it seems to me that the symbols are only there if you're looking for
them -- I use Mozilla constantly, but only occasionally poke around on
mozilla.org, and the red star does not appear anywhere on the actual
browser. (Please, no one take that as a request for a "red star"
chrome.) I enjoy using Mozilla, and I hope that you will continue to do
so also, without stooping to threats. Your objection to the graphics
appears to have been noted and believed. Now lets move on to making the
thing work more smoothly.
