I currently have 3, so its not *too* bad, but a more direct mechanism

So how do I push for this (and others) to be an official (??) feature

I think more choices in the way threading is done would be useful.

I definitely anticipate an incremental increase in performance, but I
was actually referring to a more abrupt one. Some things that need
improvement just seem way behind compared to other dedicated clients.
eg. clicking on emails in my inbox or pre-downloaded newsgroup messages
takes somewhere around 0.5 seconds to display the preview - AgentNews
and Outlook do this more-or-less instantaneously on the same box. I'm
not bagging Mozilla - just trying to put it all into perspective.
