Personally, I wouldn't want that, at least not without me agreeing. If
not for threading, how am I supposed to know, what the poster followed
up to (the subject usually doesN#t change abrupt, but there are previous
posts in the old thread about the new topic)? How do readers of the old
thread (with the new topic) know that it continues elsewhere?
