It's a preference or a command -- i.e. you did agree and if you don't
you can change it.

Not sure of your question -- if you've NOT been reading the old thread,
you my notice the new Subject and read it, you'll see that there is
quoted material (and possibly you'll see something that relates to the
References header) and then it's a matter of looking in one way or
another (how you look depends upon what the client can do and what the
user knows, as well as the attributions in the body).

For people who were reading the old thread and need to find the new one
-- hopefully they'll pick it up based upon the new Subject being
interesting (or at least related to a topic they are already reading).
