LOL! An amusing way to make your point. :)
Another case where it's helpful to have the name of the app is when
using utils that give a list of open windows (e.g. window hider).
Again, you can argue that it should have an icon or another column
listing the name of the app that owns that window. I don't have a good
argument against that other than to say that some apps are poorly coded
and Moz could get some benefit from having its title in on all the
windows. But I'm not gonna put up a huge fight for it.
With your name attached to each sentence, you don't have to worry about
people forgetting to put an attrib line in. It has its benefits at
times, but at the cost of visual detraction.
It would be nice if there were a way to have that info available out of
band, but I don't think that's an option. Example: I have a util for
Windows that when I mouse over a file ending in .mp3, it reads the ID3
tag if present and opens a popup with the Artist, Title, Album, year,
length, etc until the mouse is moved. Similarly, it would be nice if
you could point at the icon in the top left corner of a window and get a
popup with any details the app felt like providing. But implementing
this in an application is unintuitive. Something like this would be
best offered by the OS.
