I am double posting this appeal for help. I have recently developed a problem with N6 mail. I believe it relates to interactions with Mozilla. When I try to set N6 as the default mail tool I get the following message:
"Netscape 6 Mail could not could not be set as the default mail application because a registry key could not be updated. Verify with your system administrator that you have write access to your system registry, and then try again." Mozilla mail works just fine. If I try to send mail from N6 I get a similir message saying that the outgoing server cannot be acessed or something like that. It then asks to see my system admin. I am on a PC using W98SE. There is no network or system administor. I also use various Mozilla 0.9.7 and recent nightlies. I believe the problem began when I started using M200112308. The various Mozilla's & N6 use the same preferences. In the past, I was able to move back and forth between mail tools wwithout a problem. Now N6 does not work but Mozilla 0.9.7 does. I have reinstalled both and allowed a new mozver.dat file to be created. It did not help. Does anyone know what to do next. Thanks Howie
