Are you attempting to run both Netscape 6 and Mozilla 0.9.7 at the same
time? Running both apps *simultaneously* (both are loaded) may lock the
registry key that Mozilla needs access to. Bring up your Task Manager
(press CTRL+ALT+DEL) and check to see if only one of the programs appear.

Another solution might be to DE-select the option in Mozilla to make
0.9.7 the default mail client. Then, close Mozilla and restart your
computer. Start Netscape 6 and use Edit|Preferences to make Netscape
your default mail app.

If that doesn't work, it may be related to both programs accessing the
same *.dat file (which would not be good). I always keep only one
version of Mozilla/N6 on my system at a time, and completely uninstall
an older build before installing a newer one. By doing so I rarely
experience any of the problems that many others here in the newsgroups
claim to have.
