I did not manually compact. There was no crash. I'm using the mail
client bundled with netscape 6.2.1, which I believe is mozilla 0.9.4.

The nstmp file shows up as a directory within the mail client, same
level as inbox, sent, etc. In looking at the filesystem, there is an
nstmp and a nstmp.msf.

Any ideas?
