I am assuming that is because of the broken MAPS DUL
<http://www.bucksch.com/1/opinion/dul/>, not because I am blocked
personally. Jay, please fix your server.
Anyways,

See the mozilla.org newsgroup renaming bug on how long that can take.
1.5 years and not a single action on the part of Netscape.

No, "we" don't have suffer, and you are not quieting them, you are
encouraging them by answering them. If one looks at the group right now,
he must think that he is completely right with user questions.
Why don't you just answer per email? That's what the nettiquette
dictates, when something is offtopic and there's no more appropriate group.

Well, I don't know, but they have their Netscape meetings and
face-to-face talks, while I have only the newsgroup to stay in touch
with the other developers. Bugzilla doesn't give the big picture.
Currently, I lost completely track of what is going on with Mailnews.
I don't think it's wrong that I am annoyed about 75 messages per day (!)
coming into my mailbox (if the newsgroup->mail gateway bug were not
there), *all* being offtopic, but hard to identify as such. That's much
worse than spam, both in quantity and time.
