Hi Stan, under similar circumstances some time ago I experienced the same kind of problem, that my existing data in my dedicated profile Home directory wasn't found anymore.
Michael Kaply adviced me at that time, to check all the path entries in \Profilename\Random\prefs.js. It turned out, that some of the paths there suddenly had been automatically changed to a newly, unnoticed created location. After manually changing back all affected paths according to the MozillaHome statement in Conf.sys, everything worked fine again. Maybe, that's your problem, too. Regards Wolfi
