Aaaakk! I definitely feel that I am a lone voice shouting in the wilderness. I DO NOT WANT what these new-fangled installers are doing. [For instance, I just installed the latest version of the IBM Web Browser. The install process changed my config.sys; I immediately erased the config.sys it had created, and restored my config.sys to how it was before the IBM Web Browser install had run !] Now you are telling me that there will be Yet Another Installer which I will have to learn (just to be able to "save my system" from whatever encroachments it attempts). Bah! Humbug!
