Having the name inside the ancillary data section of some frames is not
primarily for debugging. I don't know why it should disturb anyone, those
bits used for the version string are wasted bits anyway. If you find LAME
quality OK for encoding, why do you fear someone else might find out
you used it?

That's funny! Jeremy, don't you think we would know how to disable
writing that info into the freespace, if we wanted to?

Sorry Jeremy Brand and Josh Samuelson, you wasted your time,
that patch will not make it into the mainline.
