Well...

First of all, Lame is not putting "LAME" into each frame of the mp3, but
only when there is some wasted space, so it's only used as "padding". If
you've got "LAME" into each frame, then you're probably using some strange
settings.

The second thing is that I think that 0xff is a wrong choice because it's
the mpeg audio sync word.

The last thing is that I personnaly don't like the idea of this patch. Many
software vendors are using Lame and claiming that they use their own
encoding engine. If they didn't removed the "LAME" padding, then it's even
easier to detect them. But it's not up to me to decide about the inclusion
of this patch.

Why do you want to not have the "LAME" string into your files. Do you need
to hide the encoder that you used?
