Recently I found out about a proposal from Rec Sports at the University to
build a boathouse right on the sight where the river flats are now, just
below the East Bank of campus. Question for the park Board candidates and
other interested entities:
Are they aware of the U's plans to build a "boathouse" on the River Flats.
Are they aware of exactly the location, and won't that interfere with the
beauty, usage, whatever of the area?
What type of public access would be required?
Finally, what would happen if at some point the U and the Park Board had a
disagreement and decided the boathouse wasn't working out?
