Was or will the Boathouse just north of the Lake
Street Bridge (Marshall Ave. Bridge for those of you
from St. Pal) that burned down a couple of years ago
be rebuilt? I believe this was also on Park land.
It seems like a replacement (if that is what is
proposed) supports a traditional use of the river, its
certainly an environmentally friendly use. If the
MPRB is able to partner with the University to replace
a lost facility, that partnership should be
encouraged.
