We expect MPRB to have certain areas of expertise.
Running a police department shouldn't be one of them.
Services should be provided by the agency/department
that can do it most effectively rather than
maintaining a system of empire building.

I would like to comment that the Par Police has a far superior record
(although it still needs work) on respecting the constitutional rights of
activists, protesters and minorities.  They also have received extra
trainings because of the Park Board.  I beleive the Park Board has managed
the Park Police much better than the City Police department is managed.
Maybe we should expand the Park Police (under the park board) and get rid of
the city police department.
