Excuse me - I don't believe it is the DFL Central Committee's
responsibility to figure out how to fill the Park Board District 2 seat.
It is the responsibility of the current sitting Commissioners who have
policies and procedures of how to fill a vacancy with an appointment
process. I believe a couple of people already posted last week about that
process which will become even clearer at Wednesday nite's Park Board
meeting when legal opinion will be given on the process and a reading to
open the appointment process will occur.
As one of the newcomer's to the Green Party processes I believe your
statement about how ward endorsements occurs is accurate in reference to
the size of the convention (and the Party). At the end of the convention I
did hear some talk that in 4 more years we will be big enough to do the
splitting into individual wards. I don't believe there is an official party
policy (but I'll let the Party chair answer that).
