Candidates don't have any control over independent expenditures. That's what this sounds like. I'm more interested in disclosure from candidates. I did find it ironic that Rybak played the games he did with sending his statement in just prior to deadline -- and not giving the information to the Strib except in summary form. I'm also interested in candidates who are willing to make themselves available on online forums. If the Mayor won't do that as a candidate, she won't do it when she holds office.
