Since no one else has mentioned it, here's a nomination: Food Avenue at the new downtown Target. They serve Pizza Hut pizza, popcorn, and Marketplace sandwiches. There's a self-serve soda pop machine. It's no smoking. Through the holiday shopping season, it's open until 11 p.m. Located on the pedestrian retail Nicollet Mall and the downtown skyway system, Target's Food Avenue has ample parking and it's on lots of bus routes. If we spill out into the attached retail store, there's lots and lots of room, and you can buy toilet paper, action figures and CD towers.
