Where in the rule book does it state that ONLY women can represent women,
ONLY people of color can represent people who look like them, etc? I have
hoped that this level of high school political correctness was long gone from
our public discourse, but I am horrified to find myself mistaken. I am a
long time lurker and first time contributor, and this issue totally frosts
my cookies. Such thinking leads to complete balkanization of the polity, and
does not build consensus or community.Meritocracy, people, is our best hope.
