Sue and All Minneapolis Friends! Don't be paranoid if you lose power today.
It is not in Xcel's (please note the spelling, I know NSP was easier) best interest to keep us all nice and cool, but even in our bucolic suburb of Falcon Heights, we get several outages a year. There is a transformer in our backyard that is never more than a few months old, and it is quite a startler when she blows! The only thing hotter than the weather in our neighborhood is the real estate market (and hence prop tax valuations for we "squatters") and I expect the same is true of South Minneapolis (closer to the River the better, right?) I hope Mpls stays cool during this glorious 4th of July weather. Cheers! Paul Kuettel Denizen of Far Distant Falcon Heights (Home of the State Fair and the "Saint Paul" Campus) but grew up a stone's throw from the old Lake Street Bridge, which I crossed pretty much daily during my urchinhood. _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
