I like Craig Miller's idea of a "day of silence" on the list, at least on this issue.
Two lives were lost. That is a fact we do know. I think the "she did, he did" conjecture can be left alone for at least a day. I am encouraging people to send the police precinct in your neighborhood a card expressing your appreciation for all they do, and your sorrow for the loss of a fellow officer.
