I don't understand the sentiment that suggests any new
stadium MUST be built in Minneapolis. For obvious
reasons I can see why proponents would want that but
to say MUST seems a little strong.

The stadium existed in Bloomington for a good many
years and did just fine there. In fact, a parking lot
for the mall takes up the space where it used to be
along with the hockey arena. If Bloomington wants it
back and is willing to foot the bill, I say "Yahoo",
let em' have it.   

Proponents of the stadium who are pushing a
"Minneapolis only" site location please explain why a
suburb is not a viable place for a stadium?
