Cheer up Ms Sluyter in Hawthorne, the Secretary of State, in agreement with
the findings of the state Attorney General, has determined that the Green
Party of Minnesota shall retain its major party status until 2004.
I am glad I could bring you such welcome news.

Tom,
What's the difference? There are no statewide races in 2004, so there is no way for the Greens to gain 5% to maintain major Party status. The only concern I have is, are you still elgible for the state PCR program for 2006, if you raise the money before 12/31/04? If so, that's unfair.
What does major party status recognized by the state has to do with Minneapolis elections? I assume since the local elections are 'non-partisan', that Greens will still be competitive in local elections.
