Phyllis Kahn's excuses, rationales, etc... they are not true and she
knows it... what she should be paying attention to is the steadily
rising resentment towards her and other DFLer's who continue to act as
if they are immune from accountability.
I was raised a Democrat and have been so soured on them over the
years with the sort of games and sell outs they continue to do.

... and Ms Kahn wants another election because her candidate didn't win.
...

Why didn't she introduce this this bill before the primary election?
Why did she wait until two weeks before the general election? Could it
be that by that time her neighbor, Olin Moore, no longer looked like a
shoe in?

[TB] Okay, lets look at a couple of real facts. HF13 was introduced on
Jan. 13, the 2nd day of bill introductions in this year's legislative
session. The 3rd ward general election didn't occur until Feb 3rd or 3
weeks later. Looks to me like the bill introduction had nothing to due
with Olin Moore not winning the election unless see has terrific vision.

The she introduced the same bill last session. As I recall a
conversation I had with her a couple of weeks ago she said that it
passed the MN House of Representatives last session but died in the
Senate. I doubt that she knew last session that there would be a
special election in the 3rd ward this year.

One of the great things about Rep. Kahn doesn't stand around with her
finger in the air trying to figure out which way the political winds are
blowing, she'll let you know what she thinks. If we had 201 people like
that in the Legislature we'd probably be better off with fewer games
being played.

In the case of HF67, I think her rational is valid. That doesn't mean
everyone will agree with it, they are other points will validity
supporting them. I don't think, however, that it is appropriate to
describe someone as evil when ever you happen to disagree with them.
Compromise in working out our disagreements brings out some of our best
solutions.
