Well, here's an idea. Mothball the Loring Park shelter building that's
currently under renovation and put the saved operating costs into keeping
the wading pools open this summer. You might even have enough left over to
turn on the beloved Berger fountain. By the way, the fountain counts as a
wading pool if you have ever observed how many people play in it on a hot
summer day.
Oh don't worry about the building, you could still walk by it and admire
what $1,000,000. can do to spiff up a little used MPRB piece of property.

Yes - on the open list there has been little talk but believe me people
have found out how to write off line or from other sources.  I (and we) are
getting lots of responses.  Unfortunately, only one person out of dozens
has offered an alternative solution.  I am still looking for "which Peter I
am to take the money from in order to pay Paul". Again, I am very open to
suggestions.
