Same in Hawthorne... Reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, and selling drugs and sex to or from a vehicle seem to be legal here too.

Same with condemning drug houses, which they've been doing a lot of in Hawthorne of late. Most of the notices have already been ripped off the doors and the boarded entrances pried open by now, unfortunately.
Personally�however, I would much rather hear a rooster crowing at dawn, than a window-vibrating, dish-rattling, sleep-disrupting boom-box car at 2am.� But then again, maybe my expectations as askew.
Amen! Why is it that we can get housing inspectors up here to make sure that we aren't running a farm but we can't get a traffic squad up here to squelch the boom cars? Could actually be profitable- we use the noise as probable cause to stop 'em, then find a bunch of drugs in the car so we seize it. At auction what would otherwise be an unsalable beater sells at a profit thanks to the expensive amps, speakers, etc.. The bad boyz bid the car up, we make a profit, then we bust the new owners as they crank up the audio while exiting the impound lot and repeat the cycle... this could be very profitable!
