Hello Scott,

Try Alma on University in SE MPLS. Alex Roberts, the Chef and owner is son
of Don Roberts who is a local grower that is quite well known.

Lucia's is another that focuses on locally sustainable produced food and
owner Lucia Watson sits on the State of MN Organic Advisory Task Force.
Brenda's in DT MPLS has a good local focus too.

French Meadow on Lyndale in S. MPLS also does a good effort too.

Right across the border in St. Paul on Raymond is Chet's Taverna that is
REALLY doing a bang up job.

There are many others but those are my favorites and what comes to mind
first.

Subject: [Mpls] Q: Local Restaurants Serving Locally-Raised Produce?

I enjoy dining at Heartland, a restaurant in St Paul that serves a
Midwestern cuisine featuring organically grown or naturally raised
products from local farms. Lenny Russo, chef de cuisine, buys supplies
directly from the farmers instead of going through large distributors.

My question for the list is: Are there restaurants in Minneapolis that are
similar to Heartland, that is, they feature locally-raised products? If
so, what are they and what can you tell me about them? I would love to
dine at a restaurant like Heartland that is closer to home.
