This is false. Steve Cramer's first post to the list was after Jim Graham was suspended. He never complained to me about Jim's postings or asked for disciplinary measures. I'm the one who knows who complains - anyone else is speculating. And since no one making (or repeating) this "fact" has asked me, it's easy to see how they got it wrong. As for a boycott, that's everyone's right and if you vehemently disagree with the list concept, probably a good thing for all. And anyone could start another list, with different rules and/or management - which I would sincerely welcome. Over the years, I've read periodic talk about a "Speaker's Corner" with no odious list manager involved. My suggestion: go for it. However, no one has gotten one off the ground (talk is the essence of what we do, but it is also cheap). That gives me some confidence that they way we've structured and managed our 900-address forum (with countless web viewers) makes sense. David Brauer List manager REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules? Email the list manager at [EMAIL PROTECTED] before continuing it on the list. 2. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait.
