I second that opinion. Overall, I buy more beer from Rock Bottom and Town
Hall than I did in the past, however, I now buy less food from them. This
is because I am buying growlers for home consumption and spending less
time at the brewpub eating and drinking. I like it that way because my
cooking is better than anything at either of those establishments. ;)

I see growlers as a win-win situation for the City of Minneapolis and
myself. I get to take home good quality, locally-made beer and the
Minneapolis cops have one less potentially drunk driver on the road.
Additionally, because the growler bottle can be refilled/reused, it
reduces waste and the number of bottles recycled at my household. So, I
guess the City of Minneapolis comes out ahead twice.
