A 64 ounce growler has less beer in it than a six pack of 12 ounce cans or bottles. Also, it seems it would require cups of some kind to be able to drink it. This would not be my choice to cart around with me to party or a ballgame - too inconvienent. However, since I do enjoy good quality beer, I would purchase a growler to imbibe in my own home. Also, consuming alcohol in our parks is illegal as far as I know, so if you wanted to do a little covert drinking at the park or the lake, a growler would probably be harder to hide than a six pack. Of course, I really don't know what a growler looks like, so I could be wrong on that last point.
