"I see growlers as a win-win situation for the City of
Minneapolis and myself. I get to take home good
quality, locally-made beer and the Minneapolis cops
have one less potentially drunk driver on the road."

Scott McGerik
Minneapolis

Giving people the opportunity to go to a bar and buy
beer and drive around with it is not going to reduce
the number of drunk drivers. People are going to take
these things to the park and the lake and the ball
game.

The quality or the cost of the growlers isn't really
an issue. To suggest that people who can spend more
on their beer are going to drink more responsibly is
just wrong. Ask Kirby Puckett and some of the
Minnesota Vikings.

I just don't see the need to put more alcohol on the
streets with all the liquor stores and bars we have in
the city already.
