[TB] In tobacco is a product that cannot be used safely, even when it
is used according to the instructions. There is injury both to the
user and to those nearby. If a child's toy causes even a handful of
deaths, it will be recalled and removed from the market. In the case
of tobacco we allow an inherently unsafe product to remain.

The State of Minnesota lead the fight in collecting damages from the
tobacco companies for the billions of dollars in health care costs that
were incurred because of the use of this product, costs that the
industry seems to be willing to pay. Perhaps these bribes to state
governments across the nation are one of the reasons that the product
remains on the shelves.

I can't think of any other case where such proven risks are allowed in
the workplace. Probably due to the push from labor unions, OSHA works
hard to keep workplaces safe. No one should need to put their health
in jeopardy to retain a job.

Remember tobacco kills more people each year than crack cocaine.
